Course Overview: 
This course is designed to provide participants with the roles and functions of the Hedis Professional. The concept of HEDIS 2021 course program focuses on analyzing medical record charts for the appropriate NCQA compliance following and monitoring regulatory changes applying HEDIS/QRS concepts and principles during the review process, medical chart reviewing, medical records reviewing and  chart abstraction.

Intended Audience: 
A Hedis Professional can assist with NCQA, HEDIS audits and medical records reviews., maximizing quality star ratings and prepare for regulatory audits. This 8-hour course will prepare the participant with knowledge necessary to implement, manage, and evaluate the medical record review process.

After taking this course:

  •  The student will have the awareness of how to audit medical charts for medical record abstraction and obtain knowledge in the below areas: Introduction to NCQA. HEDIS® Hybrid Measurement with General Documentation Guidelines.

  • The student will obtain the knowledge of how to modify their resume through resume techniques and career counseling. 

  • The student will be ready to submit their resume to employers for temporary, full-time or contract employment.

  • Graduate students will have direct contact to our partners employment recruiters/insurance companies.
